Mark has over 20 years experience in the energy sector, in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Energy Efficiency, Energy Efficiency and Building Services.
In his career he has worked in design engineering, international sales, projects, business development and engineering consultancy. He is a registered Consultant with the Carbon Trust, and has carried out a number of high profile energy surveys on their behalf.
Mark graduated from Glasgow University with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering.He joined NEI Parsons in 1986,working in Site Construction and Project Engineering before becoming the Senior Design Engineer for Turbine Generator Auxiliary Systems and in the UK, Singapore and Malaysia.
Mark joined Baric Systems in 1996, initially as the U.K. and International Sales Manager, and latterly as the Head of Projects after the Company’s takeover by British Engines Ltd. Again working in Power Generation and also the Oil & Gas sector, He managed the Projects team, for clients such as Rolls Royce, Hitachi,Demag-Delaval, and BP Exploration.
Between 2000 and 2006 Mark worked for the Eaga Partnership and during which time he managed their domestic energy efficiency department, was responsible for delivering the Energy Efficiency Commitment (EEC) for energy suppliers, developed renewable technology strategies for the Renewables Division, and developed the company’s commercial activities to allow them to diversify into the commercial sector.
Mark joined NJK Partnership in 2006 as an Associate Partner, operating as an energy efficiency Consultant to both Industrial and Commercial clients specialising in efficient plant and equipment design, renewable technologies and Combined Heat and Power (CHP).
Mark joined Square One in 2008 to assist clients to develop complete business energy solutions, and to assist with the selection and potential integration of renewable and low carbon technologies into these solutions.
